Advisory Board

Jane Bunker is the Director of Cornell University Press and the past-president of the Association of University Presses. Across her career she acquired award-winning books in philosophy, psychology, women’s and gender studies, theatre and performance studies, and higher education. Her service with AUPresses includes participation in the formation of their core values and strategic plan. She led several committees and task forces including the Library Relations Committee and Professional Development Committee. As Chair of the Library Relations Committee, she led a landmark study of the newly emerging collaborative models between university libraries and university presses. She has served as Principal Investigator on grants exploring new Open Access initiatives from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Her interests include the past, present, and future of the book, open access scholarship, technology and privacy, copyright, digital citizenship, accessibility, and women in leadership
